Lattice Consulting has played a pivotal role in unlocking access to finance across 14 agricultural value chains in Kenya. We trained over 3,000 bankers, developed tailored SME lending tools, and supported the mainstreaming of gender in financial products. Our team also delivered value chain finance training to county governments, catalyzing private-sector investment and enabling enterprise-driven development in agribusiness, health, and WASH sectors.
Lattice led the strengthening of Kenya’s aquaculture sector across eight counties, focusing on building inclusive and resilient fish farming systems. We empowered smallholder farmers through access to quality inputs, targeted technical and business training, and strong market linkages. Our efforts resulted in a 50% increase in productivity, the production of 500 additional metric tons of fish, and the creation of 200 new jobs—contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive blue economy.
Lattice Consulting provided technical support to strengthen the internal systems of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), enhancing its capacity to coordinate stakeholders, deliver on its advocacy mandate, and improve operational efficiency.
Our work involved strategic advisory, process redesign, and the development of performance monitoring frameworks, enabling KEPSA to more effectively represent private sector interests at both national and regional levels.
Lattice implemented food security interventions in conflict-affected regions by improving post-harvest handling practices, promoting the adoption of improved seed varieties, and facilitating cooperative market linkages.
These interventions strengthened the resilience of smallholder farming communities, improved food availability, and expanded access to local and regional markets.
